they have always been polite on the phone to me. They are going to talk to me like I know nothing about computers tho - they HAVE to really. Its kinda like a rule of phone tech support - they dont know how much the caller knows so they assume they know nothing and that way there is no confusion...

the forum is likely moderated by people not related to the shop or customer service so I wouldnt even try to compare that with the phone support

I think with OcUK it's a case of mud sticks. Personally i have never had a problem with them though I have never had to RMA.

It's a bit of a shame about the forums though. There is some good advise and some knowledgable people in there, but its spoilt by the mods attitude and the overwhelming number of mod arse lickers.

    More friendly here by far...

oh...and i can recommend www.cclcomputers.co.uk I live near by but they are excellent any problems and they are more than happy to sort it out. They are a bit more expensive and their stock can be a bit strange but the best computer retailer I have dealt with.

I take it things didnt go too well and may well explain the bad blood between Hexus and OcUK.

    Peace man

    Whatever happend to that, happened.

It bears no need of discussion. We here at HEXUS are looking to the future now, not looking to the past.

Suggest you do the same Eddy

That article is over 4 years old now - all I can say is that both operations have decided that going their seperate way.

We have tried to clear any 'bad blood' which may or may not be present.

I do not know why you are dragging this up now - but that is your choice.

Both operations as far as we know are getting bigger and better, and we have always wished OcUK the best.

If you have comments on a retailer (good or bad), its helpfull to use http://users.hexus.net/companies_list.php and leave your impression of them.
It really helps people (especially newer ones) when deciding who to buy from
