I seen the forum postings actually show up pretty high in the google sear engine and thought of posting the above scams in hope that someone will see it and not fall for it. I generally get 2-3 similar scams from China also. No matter what! They all want your bank account and routing number so that they can pull money out of there or manufacture fake checks from such.

May also depend on your mail provider. Some people work at catching spam better than others. My btinternet box used to get spammed to death, even though i hardly ever used my account there for anything - then they started doing proper spam filters and i get about 1 email a month getting through those. On lycos i used to get a fair amount into my bulk folder, now thats always empty, and i also get less spam breaking through into main mailbox, but they could do a couple things to make life even easier.
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.

"I am Fred Mbekiki Badula of Lagos"

You know the 419 man strikes again

You fancy being a bit more insulting?

if you know anything about the web and email you'll know that spammer can quite easily guess your email address (dictionary attack) and quite often target certain ISP's

If your ISP has no filtering installed then you get spam.
If you run a website of any size, you'll get shed-loads of spam.

Until the the smtp protocol is amended to verify the sender then there is very little you can do if your address has been found, other than changing your email address or messing about with something like spam assassin (if you have access to the server).

For example, I've got two main email addresses, one is from a website I help run, and the other is a personal domain I've registered. The website is a .com addy, and the other is a .org.uk, the .com gets loads of junk (the curse of a short username), but the .org.uk one gets *zero* spam.

The moral of this story? Get to know your subject a bit more before making dumb comments.
