Where is everyone going on holiday or short break this year, or have you already managed to get away?
Me personally, I am planning to stay home as long as possible haha!!!

We aren't getting away this year unfortunately
Last time we got away was 2011 and we went to Portugal and it was a weeks holiday from hell to say the least, booked a room with 2 bedrooms but we only got a single so the first day there was a Saturday and it was a bank holiday weekend. Managed to get hold of Thomas Cook and had to pay an extra £250 to move to another hotel. Next hotel we were in a top floor corner room and it was damp, couldn't move anywhere else though with it being Easter week so had to put up and shut up.
Must admit though facilities were nice and the people were really friendly and helpful, informed the hotel about the issues we had with the room and they were really apologetic. Took it up with Thomas Cook, supplied medical evidence of my wife being ill and photos of the damp and black mold spores in the room but they wouldn't issue any sort of refund.
Then throw in the kids acting themselves the entire time, my daughter, 11 at the time started throwing punches at the busy poolside at her mother as she was told no for something then proceeded to follow me through the hotel reception area shouting and swearing her head off. Son got barred from the games room as he was dared to shake a machine by other kids that releases balls with gifts inside, where the guy was that monitors that room I don't know.
Either way, we are hoping to get away next year, hopefully it will be back to Portugal as we do love the country, the people and just the whole feeling while you are there, really nice place. It all depends if anyone are doing holidays to Portugal though, last year there were very few holidays and flights going there.
We're not long back from a few days on Speyside in Scotland. Great weather, wonderful scenery, great food and a whisky distillery or two
In about 6 weeks we're off to Orlando for 15 nights. I've been a couple of times before but it'll be my girlfriends first visit. We're both really looking forward to it.
Our plan was to spend a week in New York City and a week in San Francisco in October and go to a friends wedding but flights prices were too expensive for us. For about £200 more than flights alone would cost we've got the Orlando trip including direct flights, villa and car. I'm upset that I can't go to the wedding but we can't justify the expense right now.

well I've just successfully completed my 1 week trip of 'avoid all the golfers' who were here for the senior open.
in a few weeks i'll be off again for 'try and meet Carol Vorderman and David Bellamy' when the flower show is on.
all in a nice seaside resort up in the sunny north west of England.
accommodation is provided, lovingly made homemade meals, washing and cleaning facilities by trained staff, personal chauffer service included.
I did the same last year, although it was 'hunt Sally off of corrie' at the flower show.

Probably Barcelona or Valencia (again!) Just love Spanish food / wine / weather / lifestyle / language / culture too much.
Canada next year - probably Montreal.

Spent a night camping in the New Forest a few weeks ago with some friends, but we're going on a proper holiday next week renting a villa in South of France. My next holiday is when work leaves me to fend for myself for a week in Singapore before flying onto Korea at the end of September, so I'm planning on going to Tioman Island.
Not getting away myself. Went to Brugges at Easter and had a great time. Have jsut moved into a new flat, starting new job etc so money is tight. Currently hoping to do another Australia and New Zealand tour in a year or 2 so will be saving for that!
