    Ebay isn't ebay anymore.

Ebay has gone sh*t. Seriously. I detest it now.
It's no longer people selling items to another, it's all crappy little crap powerlisting shops of crapness. I seriously hate it. Saving money is now a suprise rather than norm. 80% of Ebay goods can be found cheaper on the net.

    Anyone have thoughts on this?

It's been like that for the last couple of years..

If it wasn't those shops, it was clueless idiots bidding over retail prices for 2nd hand goods..

*But* if you hunt around you can still find the odd bargain, it just takes a little longer these days..

I realise this, the point I'm making is one of the ANNOYING shops and small companies raping the once great person to person sales.-

I think your painting the picture of ebay a little rosie there, people on ebay used to more often than not rip you off as soon as look at you, now its just small stores doing the same thing.

Well I haven't had a problem, found some good stuff on eBay, depends what you want really. People seem to pay MORE for computer parts if selling. At the end of the day, if you want an item you will have to pay for it.

I've had a full size NEC network cabinet and rack mount UPS (UPS alone worth £900) for £150 off eBay, although it's got one side missing.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

Depends on what your buying.... but bargains still exist on ebay.

The more popular ebay gets, the harder its going to be to find the good stuff; But that applies to just about anything.
Ultimately, something is worth what someone is prepared to pay. If they can't be bothered to hunt around and find it cheaper, then let them pay over the odds.

I personally think that any computing goods that are sold new on ebay are all from ebuyer ad just sold on for double the price .

ebay = the shizzle when buying dance records. I got £60 off the retail for my ipod, brought my mate £50 worth of fishing gear for £5 and a £300 croquet set (for my grandparents) for £75. Ebay is still great in my opinion, www.ebid.co.uk has potential, just no buyers on it

Ebay does still have bargains but some buyers are either
    1) Very thick and cant use a search engine
    or
    2) Taking the excrement .

Watched a bike saddle go for 5 over its new price (price on wiggle) and a PC stearing wheel go for more than its new price.

But have also picked up a brand new pair of cycling shoes for less than half price and a some spd peddles for £8. So not all bad
