pob255, your alternate account was moderated. I have unmoderated that - but it looks as if you now have access under your original username. I can merge the two or just remove the second one.

No probs. If you have sorted out the email problem that prevented you getting the original notification, I'll merge the two accounts. I'll be doing the same for other duplicate accounts created by members who had problems here.

I genuinely don't know why the emails aren't coming through. The email in the account is correct - and some of the emails got through, some went into spam, and others never arrived at all. Very weird!

Didn't spot this thread somehow but found I wasn't able to log in and at first the reset password system didn't seem to recognise my email/account. Sent an email on Friday but got no response. Eventually managed to get in today when I decided to try the reset password option again and it worked.

Thanks to whomever was doing whatever in order to get things back to normal!

ok I've found what the problem was. Good old user error. The original emails from forum alerts etc got through to my inbox. The automated reset emails all came from the usual forums@hexus.net email which also sends the weekly activity log emails. I have these set to auto-direct to a hexus-forum folder. I was checking the inbox without realising the password reset was being auto-moved to a different folder. I was checking spam, didn't think to check that folder too.


Is there a way to differentiate the password reset stuff by using a different email from the general forums@hexus.net? Out of interest do competition wins get notified via that same email address?
