Yes it would be, ive thought about suggesting this, but setting up a magazine service is very expensive. Think of all the printing/paper needed. This is why i havent suggested it. But yeh it would be nice to see HEXUS.net on a WHSmiths shelfOriginally Posted by Daymonkey

I personally don't think mags should be stopped, like when you are there on the throne having a good PC mag to hand makes the experience more worthwhile. I also think some people get away with typing trash on the net whereas in mags writers have a lot more people checking their work which means a bit more effort goes in.
I understand why people don't bother reading them. But I would be lost without them. I can't afford a laptop and wifi and anyway i would not want to take it to the bog with me. I love reading on the crapper. Then there is holidays, traveling and boring times at work. Not to mention when my girlfriend want me "off that damn machine" - so i join her in the living room with a good mag Plus reading long articles is much nicer off paper than a screen, whatever the size.
The other thing with mags is that generally the standard of writing is much better, with the exception of hexus of course (i then hit the web for more detailed, non biased and uptodate info). Also, and the main thing for me, is that mags bring things to my attention that the net doesnt. With most things on the net you have to look for them. Mags bring new stuff to me all the time that otherwise i would have missed out on. Although i allways take results and review scores with a pinch of salt as they are often in bed with the manufactorers.
PC Zone, love their articles and the reviews seem to fit in with the way I think on games. I tend to like what they like and give credit to etc
Got a sub for Shopper.... i've read it for about 12 years..
