Seems to be the NHS's solution to everything

Actually he has got a point, painkillers and antibiotics are the nhs's soloution to everything. Oh and of course to stop everyone smoking, because smokers leave the nhs sooooooooo out of pocket

Do you think if i go back to the doctor and request to see a specialist, then i'll actually get some real treatment?
you lot ever just sit back and read this?
You wont me to get you some prices of how much a treatment of radio/chemo -therapy is?
I'd wager its not as much as i'll pay in taxes in my lifetime.
how much tax you pay a month knox?
Hes a student, but Im sure when hes in a full time job, like the rest of us eventually, and hes paying 20% or so of a say 25k salery, year in, year out, itll be a lot more than a couple of chemos costOriginally Posted by Russ

I cant argue with that, I'm a healthy individual who does not risk health for nighttime 'fun' and loss of control.Originally Posted by Bunjiweb

Maybe that would deter idiots from drinking so much and taking no responsibility of their actions.
But thats a whole new argument.
ok so if you work for 45 years of you'r life.
you'll pay about 110k in taxes
i'll get you he prices tomorrow when i go back to work.
got some prices today.
for an initial consultation with a consultant is £405
for every other one its £49
then you need to have a program made up - £210
drugs for cancer cost between £500 and £1500 (no joke)
+ £200 for somebody to administer the drugs
then the chemo + theatre time + consultant time + chemo technician time is around £2000 a time
so if you go 10 times, your looking at like 30k
providing that it only takes 10 to get rid of it (which it probably wont + it may come back)
and thats if its operable, if its not your talking silly money.
