A rare itch, need help finding out what it is!

    No it's not dirty

Basically when i get hot (only has to be a slight rise in temperature) i get a really REALLY REALLY itchy back and chest. There's no signs to show that there might be a rash it just itches like crazy, i can't explain how itchy it gets (depends on how hot i get). Not sure what it is though, i'm not on any medication for anything else and my diet is pretty well maintained. I thought it could be stress related but i haven't got any grey hairs yet

Any ideas on what it might be? It's quite annoying, there's no chance i can get any fitness in with this problem

first a few quick questions: how old are you, how often do you wash and do you wear loose clothing or tight?

...i might have an idea but need to check first.

The mite burrows into the skin, especially around the hands, feet, and male genitalia. It does not usually affect the neck and head, although it may in infants.

The itching is due to an allergic reaction to the tiny mites, and is associated with a rash of red, raised spots. The itch is worse at night, and may often affect more than one family member.
I'm getting it in the chest and back, i have no raised spots, no signs of rash, nothing at all! All looks normal externally.

hmm...well, i believe it could be something to do with sweat glands and hair folicles...you say it happens when you get hot, when you're hot the body's response it to sweat. if there is any dirt in the pores it could be causing irritation trying to get out. similarly sweat on the skin not evaporating may be irritating it too, and hence causing it to itch for a short period...
since you're at that age where you're body has past puberty all thats left are hairs to grow (if you're that type ) so it could be new hairs/folicles reacting to the sweat...

...i guess. its normal as far a i can tell, just means you've got sensitive skin

I know the exact moment it started happening. I do get an itchy head when i workout sometimes but it gets past a point of itchiness eventually. Could be sensitive skin but i really don't have much body hair at all

I used to get this after playing football on grass in the summer (must have been the dry grass) maybe its just the sweat reacting with your skin or sommat.

Get yourself one of those shower puff things from Superdrug/Boots and exfoliate your whole body in the shower every day (if you don't already). If blocked pores is the problem, it might help remedy it.

Have you made any changes in shower gel or even soap poweder your using to wash your clothes?

As stupid as it may sound: how often do you change your clothes and your bedsheets?

You can trywearing a pure cotton tshirt for a day to see if your reacting to fibres in your clothes.

Well i do my own washing now and i never knew what my mum used before ().

I change my bedsheets every week or so, depends when i've got time to do the washing. It could be a reaction to clothes but it occurs from change in body temperature so :/
