I've seen so many things that Rutger Hauer has been in. Blade Runner, Buffy, Sin City, Batman Begins, The Scorpion King... Rest in peace.

Just saw this and am utterly heartbroken. Barrington Pheloung (sic!) was probably one of the best little-known composers out there.
The first time I came across his name (but not his work) was when playing the first Broken Sword game (he later returned for Broken Sword 2 as well). The music was a very big part of the allure of the game for me and sounded strangely familiar in its slightly minimalist way. Only after did I learn that he wrote the music to Inspector Morse. Later, when the first episodes of Lewis and Endeavour, respectively, were on tv I instantly felt at home, due in no small part to the music. I can see on IMDb that up until the end he worked on the music for Endeavour.
