Hotmail......What have they done now??

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRH!!!


Just opened my hotmail account....(I WAS using 6% of the space, with about 400 emails, all which are quite important) anyway...

I open my inbox and there all gone....have MS just randomly deleted them all for the hell of it ? Where have they gone ??? To make it worse on the actual hotmail website it says I have 1 new email in my inbox, yet when I click it, it still says the same and in the email view it says inbox is empty


Have they ballsed up my account ? Cos I wont be happy if they have

Maybe the site is just playing up - I'm sure its done it to me too before...and then they just turn up again!

Im tempted to move my emails to gmail, but tbh, its a load of hassel switching ebay, forums, nochex and what the like, so I guess Ill have to stay

^ this happend to me the other day. I was really confused with it. The emails that i did have didnt have any content to them either.

you could just automatically forward emails away from hotmail to gmail etc...surely this is possible to do.

Yeah, as shiato suggested, forwarding is the easiest option so you won't have to keep changing email settings all over the place. Also a good way of using Hotmail as a spamfilter, catching all the crap email from sites you don't use so much and only forwarding what you want.

have yet to have any problems with g-mail, works really well

I'm dumping hotmail as soon as they ditch the free support for outlook. If they're going to force me to use a kakky web interface I'll at least use a better provider's. More likely I'll just use my imap account for more stuff though.

I gave up with hotmail a long time ago .... they are always changing the t&cs reducing the service and your space and deleting emails if you don't log in every couple of days

Yeah, but they ARE free. If you're not paying for it, you can't really moan, just go somewhere else.

there all back now, i dont know where they could have gone, or why

im just glad their all back....i got lucky, i might transfer my stuff to my gmail account now incase im not so lucky next time
