Why are new RTX's already for sale at CEX. They are more readily available than the like of Scan.

They are buying them over RRP might have something to do with it
Edit: well, the founders cards they are, AIBs they are having peoples pants down
Guess it is the same reason why the latest consoles ended up there too. It's sad to see Cex buying products above RRP, to then sell them for even more... As if getting stock wasn't already hard enough for so many people and then you have this basically encouraging the issue
wow just had a look rtx 3080 founders they are buy at £722 and selling at £850 when nvidia was selling at £649

Is there any reason to want a Founders Edition card?
The 3080 isn't hard to get, this one is £720: https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/comput...14430-pdt.html
But they don't have stock anywhere?
Jon
Currys finest trick... looks like it is available but add it to your basket and you'll soon see there is none available
Never mind Nvidia 3000s, CEX currently have almost nothing in stock.
Just 16 'cards' which ancient stuff like a HD6570, GT530 and two Blackmagic eGPU cases (Apple stuff with a 580 or Vega56).
Nothing between the £125 1050Ti and those £470 Apple eGPUs.
Curry’s cache the hell out of their website. The app is highly recommended if you want any chance of a fast (for Curry’s standards) transaction.
Your local store has stock? As it let me do the same thing and no where had any stock and no stores anywhere else within miles
Jon
Probably not, but for some reason they often seem happy to deliver a card to the local store when they wouldn't deliver one to me. I guess they run different warehouses for delivery to end users and stock replenishment.
I had the opposite when buying an Oculus Quest 2, they would send one to my house but I couldn't get one delivered to store. So I got it from Amazon with free delivery, *shrug*
