This is a kind of plea in order to get more people to join up the heXus.net dstributed computing team, I am guessing quite a few people hardly read the DC forum so I have got permission to post this here as well to try and get some more people to sign up.


What is distributed computing I hear you ask?

Its basically lending some of your spare CPU cycles to help in mass processing problems like finding cures for cancer or the search for ET. It does not cost a thing to join and you are joining millions of people already taking part in this process.

We currently have about 49 members and I know loads of you have fantastic machines that you leave on 24/7 so why not put them to some good use

I used to run this program but for another site, I lost it in a format and totally forgot about reinstalling it, so, now is a good time

Just one quick question, if you don't complete a task does it still have any use? or is it when your system restarts is all the information lost?
