It does have a certain Longhorn feel to it I think.

Sorry, i am not a fan of the new look, it is a bit too bright for my liking, and a bit too xpish.

Is there any chance the colour scheme could be changed, as IMHO there is too much white/grey that makes it slightly too bright

at this time we are gathering feedback, once we are a week down the line we will gather it all up and make final tweaks based on community feedback should it be appropriate.

Specifically relating to the whole scheme colour change, no this will not happen per se.

Just so you know, this lot took me 5 weeks of 6 hours per day and approximately 100 revisions, this was not a design that materialised overnight.

I wouldn't say it was 'crisp', it needs more contrast - I had to change mine before I went blind.
Outlines / Contrast / less washed colours thankyou.

Look at my little one below for an example, very easy on the eye, a range of colours, light and dark, crisp and sharp - shadow? Perspective?.

Not sure about the red. But it looks swish and modern. Fits in with XP silver better. Well done!

    Interesting.

It looks nice and easy on the eyes, but I'm not sure whether it's too easy on my tired eyes though - it's making them sting a little. Maybe that is a sign that I need some sleep.

I'll choose to ignore the people who seem to have a large chip on their shoulder. Sigh.
