    Question Being admin for a Web site?

    Was just wondering, how / why do admins become admins?

    Do you get paid?

    Do you have other jobs?

    How long do you spend doing it?

    Do you enjoy it?

    How did you 'become' an admin?

    Do you all go to the pub and chat about being an admin?

    What do people say when you tell them your an admin?

    Is it classed as a Job?

    Do you have little admin, type dreams?

    ...just wondering, I don't want to become one - just want to know somthing about my 'big bro'.

    Was just wondering, how / why do admins become admins? -you become one by never asking the question how do you become one

    Do you get paid? - Talking about forums in general then 99.9% of the time no. Talking about HEXUS, no.

    Do you have other jobs? - Yes full time, with one thing and another I spend about 9 hours a day on HEXUS

    How long do you spend doing it? - see up thar ^

    Do you enjoy it? - yes, when people behave themselves

    How did you 'become' an admin? - I look pretty, no thats not true either, then it must be luck

    Do you all go to the pub and chat about being an admin? - no-one will be seen in public with me, so no

    What do people say when you tell them your an admin? - I tell them to watch thier language otherwise Ill take out my padlock and lock em down.

    Is it classed as a Job? -No but it feels like it

    Do you have little admin, type dreams? -wtf?, get a room

    ...just wondering, I don't want to become one - just want to know somthing about my 'big bro'. - all you need to know is we are watching you, always

    I guess some mods on other forums actually make money out of the site (thinking of dvdforums)

    Famished, why is your P4 reading as 10809MHz in your sig right now?

    As for being an admin... you get out what you put in.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    I'm lucky if I get that much time a week to get on Hexus. What with;

    6hrs Sleep, 12hrs Work, 2 Hrs Gym, 1 Hr Cooking / Eating & 2-3 Hrs PS2 X-box a day during the week.
    If it ain't broke, fetch a bigger hammer

    I feel your pain

    I get up at about 6 everyday for work - spend all day with a whole manor of PC related things and then get home to fix administration problems on our game server and research admin tools, play CS source for a few hours or WoW and generally fall asleep anytime between 12-2

    Going to bed between 1 and 2am, getting up at about 6:30am... sounds similar!

    I think last night was the first time in absolutely ages I've been to bed before midnight, and I fell asleep straight away, rather than lie there for hours staring at the cracks in the ceiling...

    We must have big mice in the loft...
