    Need some full-time work for ~Month

    Finishing UNI next week and I am in need of some full-time work to keep be going through to my holidays on the 23rd of June. I am starting a University placement immediately after I get back but I want something to fill my time and earn some cash beforehand. Does anybody have any ideas on what I can do?

    I have thought about going back to a temp-employment agency, but I really was hoping to avoid call centre or data entry work for these few weeks, especially as I have spent the last few years doing that sort of thing and it breaks you after only a few days

    I fancied doing some courier/delivery work with my own car but I don't have any links to firms that do this sort of thing, I tried catalogue delivery yesterday but they were out of places.

    Does anyone have any suggestions/experiences on what they have done for a short period of time?

    Try manpower.. It's a recruitment agency which also covers manual work. I had to fill a month once and did four different jobs. Delivering drinks, loading lorries, assembling furniture, and, get this, installing computers with touchscreens etc to show route and local information in bus shelters in my town. If anyone goes to the Frogmore area of High Wycombe and sees those.. I did that!

    TBH it was low pay and nasty work, but for only a month you will struggle to get much better.

    go to adecco, or manpower, or any other temp agency. in fact go to all of them, and sign up. then ring them every day and ask for an update. it is the only way you will realistically get work. being very flexible helps too

    try things like pizza delivery too, dominos are a good place to start they let you use your own car, and you get paid more if you put a dominos advertisment on the top (but be careful, it can scratch :S )

    reminder - if you use your own car you have to tell your insurance company who will probably charge you more

    Yeh gonna get that covered.

    Think I will send my C.V to Adecco as I have just phoned them and they are nearby in Derby...would consider Pizza Delivery but it does seem like you spend a lot of your time getting mugged and I am not really into that!

    Not 100% on this but think you need a different level of cover if you are carrying stuff for a job, compared to just driving for a job (like my wife visits customers, but she isnt a courier).

    PS no dirty comments about my wifes "customers".


    As another thought my mate was working at the sorting depo for the post office, the pay was good, easy + relaxed job, they use temps a lot
