It's an extremely cheaply made building, everything is made out of plasterboard hence why everything fell apart when water touched it

Pretty sure I wasn't although I had gone to bed at about 4am. I'm half deaf in one ear, and I was probably sleeping on the other one. I was still pretty amazed though, the bells were bloody loud. I was on the ground floor anyway, so could easily have hopped out the window if the building actually had been on fire.

Unless the building had crumbled down around you, or worse, on top of you!

I'm a really heavy sleeper, I can sleep through storms, but for some reason I always wake up for alarms, telephones and people knocking on my door... weird!

I guess its an old building then, all the new residences at work are covered by a 10 year guarantee on all the work.

"floors 8 to 14 were allowed back in to stay"

floor 4 and down were wrecked and structurally unsafe yet floors above were allowed back in? sounds like jenga to me.

We had a fire alarm today at school. The first one went off just before last period was about to begin, there was a mahoosive crush in one of the corridors and someone got their head mooshed against the fire alarm, setting it off, followed by a stampede. We all stood around having a titter for about 30 minutes before being told to go back in. On the way back in someone just decided to give another fire alarm a quick punch, so we all did an about turn and waited the rest of the day off
