well, i've just been sent a k700i...and its cr*p. utterly silly phone. i mean really, its build quality is no where near my current t610. and the buttons don't respond when you push them! i mean this is really taking the p*ss. shoddy service has known no depths such as these. To say I'm dissatisfied is an understatement. its all plastic and horrible. buttons too close together and the battery casing is coming away from the body so everytime you press the keys it clicks in and out. utterly appauled. what kind of a joke are they trying to pull?

anyone know about the new k750? looks a bit better than the 700 in terms of menu and usability with buttons a bit further apart.

the K750i is a better more solidilty built phone (dad has the 700) and the 750i I saw was a beta sample I previewed on HEXUS, but i was assured that the build quality was worse on that than final.

But its not going to be on Orange till early June I think...

I work at an Orange upgrade dealer, just send it back and get something else; You've got 14 days. After that you haven't got a leg to stand on.

Also, you're on a 'high' band tariff, so you've got quite alot of phone choices available to you. Or, jus ssend it back and cancel your contract, as them sending you an upgraded phone, is you renewing your contract for 12 months.

You don't need to sign, verbal is binding, and you're stuck to it...

Unless you get it sent back within 14 days

7 working days actually. and they can either significantly reduce my monthly bills with my existing phone or naff off...
a friend on T-mobile got their bill cut from 30 odd to less than 15 and they were with them for only a year and a bit, I've been - stupidly - on orange for 3 years, actually more I think, and they turn round and be rude. not great .

You upgraded your phone with a poor company then, or Orange direct, (I think they only allow 7 days).

Should have come through us. But like i said, you can return it and cancel your contract, otherwise your bound for another 12 months.

the terms of the orange promotions state they can be withdrawn at any time as long as notice is given, if orange didnt notify you then you have a basis for a claim, if you find that customer service are really not getting you anywhere call up and ask for retentions, they are the people that can truely do something.

Failing that if you wanna be evil on the phone I have the number for Orange Executive Services, in the CEO's office )

    Funny you shud say retentions

regards the t and c's, it's a rule of complieance that you can not just remove a tariff so i don't see how orange is getting away with it.

I've got a Nokia 3100.. Does the job. Colour screen, you can text and call people. I use a digital camera for photos.. Phone cameras are just rubbish, in comparison.

your t610 produces better pics then the k700 some how i don't think so

    http://img.andrewleefoster.net/DVV/

Rententions staff ie me (for 02) are there to keep you with the network by offerning you deals

regards compliance am not sure if orange follow them rules, but i know that o2 can not just remove a tariff from exsisting customers, they can for customers that have not signed up but if a customer is allready on that tariff they can still get it offed to them.

retentions are the dept you have to speak to to get disconnected, with the new policy of retaining customers, they are not likely to let you go lightly, these are the people to speak to, just call orange and ask for retentions straight away and see what they say about your issues, and explain to them you are going to leave as a result of it, they may be able to help you out...
