It can't be any worse than Elephant and Castle where the MOS is.
Agreed. Farringdon is much nicer than Elephant & Castle. In fact, I think the Gaza Strip is probably nicer than Elephant & Castle.

All the best clubs in London are in dodgy areas though. It's only the rip-off tourist traps that can afford the rent anywhere nice.

When to a cool club in london (again before i moved down) - no idea where it was but it was in a really dodgy area and the place itself looked like a hole on the outside - was great inside tho and really cheap

The best night of clubbing I ever had was in a club that was basically two of the arches under Vauxhall station with a concrete floor put in and a sound system installed. I danced my arse off to some wicked hard house until about 6am.

    Nice

I've been to something similar recently. Basically its a "retro" night where a club gets permission to hold a giant warehouse event. On the night, you all have to ring a number with a pre-recorded message and phase to say when you get to a location in Manchester. Once done you get told the location of the party.

The last one was in a warehouse in Ancoats in Manchester and went on till 8am...

Oi, less of the Elephant & Castle bashing, I went to Uni/Poly there. Oh all right I admit it, it's sh!thole stuck in a timewarp circa 1973. And yes we used to go to Ministry alot on Friday nights before it got taken over by posers & pr!cks.

But the best club i used to go to every week was Whirl-y-Gig, which was in Shoreditch Town Hall at the time. Very trippy & hippy atmosphere & absolutely no attitude.

when working in London I had a stunning night in Fabric even though the music is not to my taste.

I can also recommend a bar called "the lab bar" which was good fun before going to a club
    It is Inevitable.....

You're not going to get in anywhere good in London for less than a tenner really. Get tanked up somewhere cheap before you go in, then you won't be spending loads on drinks once you're in there.

Was gonna mention Rouge, its on the corner of new oxford st and tottenham court road. You must have a guest list, and i dunno what the price is, awesome place. Pretty sure friday is house/dance night.

Oh and majorly you must have a mixed group. 20 guys are not gonna get in (we tried before)

Exactly. Get the lads together at one of your houses to watch a football match or whatever, have plenty of booze there, then head out, already half cut, to the drinking establishment of your choice!

There's a good Weatherspoons on High Holborn, IIRC it's about halfway between Hatton Garden and Holborn tube. Anyway it's no more than half a mile from Fabric.

    Map.
