Msn 7.0

I couldnt see an msn 7 thread, I'm pretty sure there has already been one but '7' is too short a string to search for and there were loads with 'msn' in.

Anyway, I've just installed this cos 6.2 kept bombing out and I thought id jump on the 7.0 bandwagon. What is all this bloaty **** about?! I installed Messenger Plus in the hope that it would sort it out (like it did for 6.2 pretty much) but there is so much stuff - how can i get rid of it / tweak it?

Download the mess patch or a-patch.

The text advert at the bottom is crap (remove it with mess patch/a-patch)
the two things on the left is messenger plus (you must of installed it... its for custom sounds like winks but for sounds.. its actually pretty good).
packs is to theme msn messenger 7 with promotions crap (remove that with the mess patch/a-patch too)
the search button is to use msn search in the conversation. (also can be removed)

there is tons of stuff you can remove with those patches, they are very usful.

and for more features i recommend www.stuffplug.com a messenger plus plugin.

best way to fix it is to go back to v6, not very helpful i know, but its what i resorted to

No problem. I would give direct links on mess.be (the best resource), but the website is aload of crap, frames and redirecting meta tags, aparently its been redesigned though (thank god).

I already switched off the show tabs function and slimmed it down as much as i could, just ran the A patch and it took too much off now ROFL, nevermind, its much better now, thanks.
