There's a distinct difference between people that like emo and goths, besides there's no such thing as real goths anymore.

Kezzer old chum, you are indeed right, he shouldn't make statements about things he knows nothing about, I however take it upon myself to try and stop the emo scene invasion at every oppurtunity these days because its getting so damn annoying its untrue, the lines between emo and pop-punk are now so blurred that you can buy a blink 182 album grow a fringe and buy a black atticus t-shirt and some cons and declare yourself emo, not only does this give you the excuse to whine all day long about how mummy didn't get you your pony but it also seemingly makes some of the ugliest men alive attractive to members of the opposite sex that never even knew they existed.

Now I have nothing against proper emotional music per se, its not my bag but if others like it thats fair enough, my argument is against the infulx of scene kids jumping on the band wagon and applying all the lovely stereotypes to themselves leading to this kinda behaviour........

The night was over and it was the bit where everyone stands half drunk outside getting cabs. I was standing randomly by a couple of chaps wearing shorts (khaki...bearing in mind its cold) and tight t-shirts, not really speaking much. They looked the same. And anywa...a girl walks past. one guy says to the other:

"Im in love with her. Ive never spoken to her but i know thats the girl im going to marry. I need to go and write a song."

The other guy just nodded.

Its that kinda morbid stupidity and a seeming eliteness amongst groups of these guys now that leads me to either want to laugh myself silly or kick em in the balls and tell them to put down they're marlbro light and pint of carling and away that huge belt buckle that says "stand strong" (yet again for the record I have nothing against proper edgers) because they obviously don't know what it means.
