Got into work this morning, pass didn't work so I couldn't get into my office. I was shortly met by the FD who proceeded to tell me my performance wasn't upto scratch (balls) and I had 2 options:
a) Hand in my notice with immediate effect;
b) Be sacked and have a "failed probationary period" marked on my record.
I chose option a) obviously.
Bugger. I'll miss the pay...
Look out for "Bad Day - Part 2" coz the nightmare continues...

I still think this classes as constructive dismissal - its suprisingly hard to get rid of people like that.

If you were on a probationary period then I believe you've very little to argue - quitting is just a way to save face to future employers..!
However - bad luck, chap - I hope you can find another job soon (or fix your graphics card)

Yeah, I don't think I have much to go by as I was still in my probationary period, just. I only had 2 weeks left, which is making me think there's an alternative reason.....

I was always able to go the whole week on about 4-5 hours sleep and still do a good job at work!

Constructive dismissal on a probation period is/would be very hard to do anything about imo. And just reading between the lines, if you just decided to go with option a) you might have thought it was coming?.
Doesn't mean i don't feel sorry for you. But being tired in work shows, i know i've done that with WoW too, it does affect performance and it does show to bosses, even if you too tired to notice it.
Add to that plenty of posts on hexus like the rest of us and the likely hood of it being monitored...
Not much of a leg to stand on with any sort of constructive dismissal claim.
