    They're in the process of restoring a Comet out at Old Warden got the engines on and everything

    No, I mean the prop driven comet... it's bright red, and has 2 piston engines...

    ...and its cool. any idea if they're putting gysey engines abck in or going up to the queens that have variable pitch. I recall this was one of the problems that de Havilland faced when building this aircraft. still, looks awesome doesn't it

    There is only one G-ACSS, you said "a Comet". I thought G-ACSS has always been in flying condition?

    only twigged it WAS that one they had stripped to bits when i posted the piccy.. couldn't be bothered editing.. after all, I am a bomber pilot..... just point it in roughly the right direction, make a cuppa and get everyone else to do the hard work


    And I can't remember if the motors on it at the time were Gypseys or not... sorry
