I can see it now, nissed as a pewt, stood in the centre of the room, wobbling like a tree in a strong wind, standing to attention, proudly saluting a tatty union jack nailed to the wall, tear in his eye

I'm afraid last time it happened to me (from my neighbours downstairs...) I just put the subwoofer to it's standard setting (I normally have it turned down - to be considerate) then turned up the system to about 3/4 volume. By the time an albumn had gone by and my system went silent, theirs had as well.
Childish - quite possibly, but it worked
Interestingly enough, a large group of group of pikeys moved into the block about 4-5 months back - seemed to be about 4 living in a one bedroom flat, and about 3 more living in the caravan they parked outside (taking up about 5 spaces in our shared parking area). They just piled up /all/ their rubbish outside their front door (food, an old fridge, some old furniture, basically a stinking digusting mess).
5 weeks after they moved in, I came out one morning to find 2 police cars and a riot van outside - they'd forced entry and arrested 3 of them. The rest got evicted 3 weeks after that.
I don't know how much it cost to put that flat right again, but the work has only just finished (they had to replace all appliances, including heating - and all the doors/windows).
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

Anyway, paul's been (occasionally) facing his sub to the floor and turning the bass up and playing a bit of fear factory However it doesnt seem to make him want to turn his down. He's probably too stoned to find the volume button
Anyway, paul's phoning the estate agents today to complain, and if they do nowt he's going to environmental health. will keep you posted!
If it's rented, there is usually an acceptable noice clause in the contract.Originally Posted by Elmo

Guys, you know I hate to disappoint you. This was taken two weeks ago:Originally Posted by WildmonkeyUK
Looks very chilled out. I need drugs to get as relaxed as that.
TBH ask them nicely, complain to concil etc and then when nothing happens, fight fire with fire. Wire up all your stereos and everything and computers...point in relevant direction and stream your music to everyone. works well in flats/halls of residence, get everyone on the net and sync stream it out...it all adds up to some serious noise...not that this is the voice of experience talking or anything...

Some of our neighbours played music really really loud 24/7. We couldn't get them evicted for some reason, and someone even soundproofed their whole flat. THEN they got evicted.
