My first PayPal scam email :D

What's strange is, I don't even have a PayPal account registered at that email , The link looks valid, but the ACTUAL hyperlink goes to another site (won't give the URL), but it's along the lines of: paypal-account-verify.

Anyway, didn't know this email was on the spam list, not sure how it got there either as I've not really given it out, but congrats to the attempted scammer for been my first. (But failed )

I've had a few of them now.
At first you could tell the fonts etc were not quite right but the later are almost spot on.
The thing I do is never go to a link from an email.

The best I've found was a Halifax bank one.

I took the URL, found where it was going (not very hard) and found out it was a college group in the US (Delta Iota Kappa style).

Anyone care to email them a few emails at the same time as me?

I get tons of PayPal emails to an email account I have never gone anywhere near PayPal with, along with other banks I have never dealt with. Funny how I never get phishing emails from US banks, maybe they know we're all still backward in the UK

Yeah I get scam e-mails posing like they are barleys and other banks I've never even been in. Let alone opened an account with.
