    You know you're a geek when...

    Have there been any moments in your life recently that you feel have really defined you as a geek?

    I was playing snooker recently, going for a rather tough shot. I was thinking to myself "that pink needs to be pixel perfect to go down".

    One of my friends once took her glasses off and said I looked blurry (well duh.) I responded with "I'm not blurred, I'm anti-aliased".

    I think I'm beyond help.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    We need a life here STAT!

    Get pyle!

    I've had moments where I've dreamt of code (sad)

    But never gone that far.

    A mate of mine does use atrocious chat up lines like "Fsck me", he's got more slaps for them tho then any cheesey one.

    Ive had a couple of moments like that - well ok lots.

    One that springs to mind is im sat in my office just working away, some guy comes in through the door and starts to talk, only hes got a really bad stutter and cant say what hes trying to say. First thing i thought was - "Damn - Real world is lagged again" I fought the temptation to tell him to go out and come back in again as that solves most problems.

    Another is when i play Counter Strike too much and i find myself Strafing everywhere - looking for angles to shoot people at etc.

    And i think another give away is your home keys. No longer do my fingers sit on the touch typiing home keys of asdf jkl;, but they sit on WASD and the mouse.

    That would have to be thinking "press CTRL + Z" when I make a mistake (not often, but it happens to the best of us )

    I went through an awful phase of using text phrases in my head, awful i know and not really very geeky. One of my teachers looked at me funny when i said 'atm' for example.

    Similar thing, was at a wedding recently, in a crowded hall, couldn't help but think how to get a MEGA KILL with my imaginary shock rifle.

    While decorating the house the other day, carefully painting the top of the wall, I got coloured paint on the white ceiling... for a SPLIT second, I thought of clicking "undo" Scary.

    I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.
