Unhappy why did it happen to me?

i've just got back from the police station.....arrested and reprimanded for possesion of a controlled substance (weed..). basically, i was havin a toke out back of the pub when some fat copper collared me, arrested me n took me to the station, after searchin my lady friend. i got off with a 'slap on the wrist' (in their words), but the worse part is that they phoned my parents against my wishes cos the frickin' retard couldn't spell my address and had to cross-check it. my parents are now totally upset at me, which is a lot worse than being arrested. i'm so upset now, its untrue. i hate to see my mom cry, it sickens me.
why do i get arrested for doin summat that aint harming anyone, i wasn't causing trouble or damage. i hate this ****** country and all its dumb laws. why can't they go pick on people causing trouble and violence? i'm goin now, as i'm too upset to type anymore. peace.

    Sorry but you deserved it

you know the landlord can lose his licence because of something like that.
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

no doubt its because he chose to have a toke !!
i thought they had relaxed all these weed laws?
send the copper round here he would have a field day as most
of the teen lads round here just hang around street corners
with their weed and bottles of wine blatantly on show !!!
yes us responsible parents have asked nicely for them to move on
only to be shouted and abuse hurled at me so now the police have been informed not by me but off lots of people in the street
and what action have the police took ?
nothing absoloutly nothing not even a car to look round

another fine example of our police force not going after the real crims and instead picking up virtual innocent people...
I'm begining to suspect that they arrest people simply so they can get a high 'tally' each month

"eh oop lads, our tallys gone down ageein...quick, lets nip down t'public house and bag a few arrests before tea, aye that would be grand..."

I'm sorry that you are at the harsh end mate.

Police, never there when you need them, ALWAYS there when you don't... (assuming we're all law abiding people)

This is a particular problem with rule of law in the UK. The police in this country apply the law as and when they choose to, which means that sometime you can get away with the most blatant acts but then other times you get caught out for smallest of infringement. IMHO, the law is the law - you break it, you get the rap. No 'buts'.

If that were the case virtually every music festival in England would close down.

I think the police try to find a balance between not being too heavy handed if they dont think it will be beneficial to anybody in the long run, and maintaining a suitable rule of law. The circumstances (Glastonbury being a good example) often dictate their attitudes.

I feel sorry for you mate. A similar thing happened to, uh, a friend of mine and it does indeed suck. Did you just end up with a caution?

Personally I dont think anyone should be arrested for smoking a joint as I feel it should not be illegal. Simple as that really.

Unfortunately the fact is that it is illegal at the moment and doing it in public has never been the smartest thing to do. Are you over 18? If so there was possibly no need to have contacted your parents and there is a possibility that you could have a case there under data-protection and privacy laws for infringement of your privacy when they informed your parents.

Rather stand near someone smoking weed than a ciggarette. Better smell and less smoke. Tho if you gonna do these things you should do it in the privacy of your/your friends houses.

Until you leave the pub in a spaced out state, walk straight out onto the road, hitting my car, meaning I've got to clean you off my bonnet.

Public place, and you're asking for it.

    Krazy kids.
