    Rip Off Pertrol prices still?

has anyone noticed that some places still have sky high petrol rpices?

I suppose it'll be the smaller chains, etc.

I've just bought some Unleaded from Clacket lane services on the M25 for ...100.9p per litre

I know motorway services are normally rip offs but thats' mad but that's 13% higher than our lcoal ASDA.

The fact that some of the larger retailers were able to drop 4p off the price of petrol overnight when the recent attempted fuel protests did not kick off suggests to me there was some profiteering going on. Petrol in town was 92.9p last time I filled up, which is relatively "cheap" from what I see around.

    not that expensive -

1 litre of petrol is taken from the ground, refined, delivered 100s of miles and taxed massively

1 litre of 'spring' water is nicked free of charge from the ground and put in a plastic bottle and sent 30 miles down the road

    which is cheaper

Economies of scale mate, Oil has trillions in it a year, water cant have more then billions in it.

More can be spent on the oil ,so it can be done more efficiently, more cheaply. Shazzam, cheap petrol

91.9 - 95.9 around me, although I haven't filled up in a bit. Actually I think this thread has reminded me to get petrol before I go out tonight!

Thank you Hexus. Who needs Outlook calendar?

Price has something to do with Kyoto agreement , attempting to discourage car usage.

So much cheaper running them and a free drink when you're thirsty.......
