0709 missed calls: Who's getting fed up with them?

Oh how I wish the 0709 fools would leave me alone

3 missed calls in 10 minutes, all from 0709 noobs who think I'll ring back and wait for a large bill to amass on my mobile before realising I'm being swindled.

It only rings once. One ring.

I hope and pray that every one of you who reads this, makes sure that EVERYONE they know ignores these stoopid phone numbers.

If it starts with 0709 462 is IS a knob head trying to make money from you.

Ignore them..make your friends ignore them, DONT cal them back and they'll go geta life somewhere else.

And worst of all sometimes they ring while you're answering another call and your mobile loses the plot and you lose both calls

Be warned....the urban myth of £50 per mniute isn't true BUT somehwere from 40p to £1.50 per minute is viable, and you'll have to pay it if you do call them back.

Be warned....and ignore the plonkers

Warn your Mums and Dad's and older relatives who might not suss it out at all.

I havn't had this yet but my mom and dad do get them regularly strangely. The thieves who do this sort of thing need a good kicking. Anyone could very easily get caught out by this. If i was called i would probably answer without realising and then your stung with the bill.

ive heard of scams like this. one where people ask to use house phones of strangers to call their parter/whatever for a reason (ie car broken down) they then phone thier own line charged at a ridiculous cost.

The number is a "personal" number, you can get tariffs added to this, i've been getting similar calls, but know its no-one i know so didn't call back.

Its all to easy for Icstus to stop this but they need these callers reporting to them...

All of these numbers belong to 1 single company, but have likely resold them. Either way i'll likely read about them getting fined tens of thousands of pounds in next issue of the icstus magazine.
