Are you? I'm not, everyone believes they're above average.

Girlfriend's always moaning how I leave the toilet unflushed, how I left the food to burn, how I forgot to put the rubbish out, lost the keys again. One wonders how I turn my computers on?

So on that scale alone I must definately be below 70!

On a serious note, IQ is the equivalent of 3DMark benchmarks for humans, damn right synthetic, humans can be tweaked to gain best marks from them and most of all, meaningless as a comparison.

This poll is not representative for several reasons.

Hexus users are not average people. We are predominantly young males, therefore genetically predetermined towards immodesty.

We mainly have an upper middle class background, the socio-economic group most concerned with how they represent themselves.

We are also slightly 'geeky', which firstly makes us very concerned with wanting to be 'the smart ones' and also feeling that we have something to prove.

But then, given these very same reasons, the average IQ of hexites is likely to be skewed upward, since people in these groups (apart from the young male part) ARE statistically smarter.

At least, thats what my 140+ IQ says...

If you can type, your IQ is over 70.

I don't really know though, Intelligence..is a debatable term. There are different kinds of intelligence, and I don't really think any IQ test can count for much tbh.

edit: and a huge surprise was the one I recieved when I noticed that the most popular IQ picked was 140+, I am shocked amazed and bowled over. Maybe we should start Hexus.Mensa?
I was the first one to put down less than 70. I did it because it doesn't really matter--it is an internet poll where we are relying on the honor or people we have likely never met. I just thought it would be funny. Usually, these polls end up with everyone answering 135+, where in reality, there should be a nice gaussian (sp?) distribution centered on 100

I wouldn't say the average IQ of a hexite is 100, tbh I'd say we're prolly up in the 110/20's, we aren't joe public, we're geeks, why else would we be here other than for the hot babes?

and the more tests you do, the higher your IQ becomes as you learn to do the tests - surely thats wrong?

I couldn't find the IQ of a small planet button either :/

When I did an IQ test mine was above 140, 169 iirc, level of a professor/researcher. But then I am in the top 5% of the country (read grammar sch). So I guess its not that suprising really.

Well, because I have dyspraxia, I needed to have an IQ test and psychology report to get extra exam time etc. Apparently I'm in the one of the top percentiles, and I've had 3 seperate professional tests, one with another person, and they all come up at that amount.

I agree that it isn't truly representational; though even if we altered it, I doubt we'd ever get it spot on, as intelligence is really just one of those things you can't measure.

Your age adjusted IQ score is 115 and the average score of all test takers is 100.
oh dear lord, about 3 months ago it was 132

i get the feeling these tests always favour good mathematicians, which i am unfortunately not

im back with the standard, i dunno if i feel happy or sad tbh

edit: looking at the results of this poll i am not too bothered, at least i tell the truth

To be fair the linked 'IQ Test' is rubbish and not representative of a true full-strength test...
