Well I have my first proper GCSE exam tomorrow (not a mock or anything).
It's Maths, been revising like hell recently, I'm awful at maths but I think I should be ok as I've been working on it so much.
Wish me luck

i assume its a module ?
if so which one you taking?
I'm not 100% sure, but I know it's a proper GCSE exam, and not a mock. The whole year is taking it.
I also know I have a calculator paper and a none calculator paper. Apart from that I don't know much more, they don't tell us much. The next Maths GCSE exam is in March next year, but it's linked or something aparently. I'm not sure, I'll let you know tomorrow afternoon.
I'm doing it too (yes, it is modular)
IIRC they're only 15 minutes long (30 minutes for the 2 papers) so I wouldn't sweat it, around 60% is an A!
Good luck.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.
is it the first out of the 3 modules ?
i remeber i did modular then 3quaters of the way through the course they changed it to a Linear exam so there were no modules only 2 papers at the end.
What module you guys starting on?
Have GCSE's changed or something? When I did them all those years ago () it was one exam only
I think my maths teacher said In total it was 1 hour 40 minutes long (for both papers).Originally Posted by Norky
Might be different for our schools, I'll find out today anyway.
Thanks guys.
Gee Ell In Arr Ell, yo!
phhh, they make them too easy, just remember to read the questions twice before answering though
Under Development...
4 years ago, it was 2 papers, one written and one mental answering questions from a pre-recorded tape.?Originally Posted by Kezzer
By the way, are you in year 10 or 11. In year 10, some schools do RS and a few other GCSEs but for some reason, my sister in year 11 is only starting to begin her MOCKS. Is she lying?
Woohoo now Assistant Manager!
i did mine 2 or 3 years ago (cba to count har har) and depending on what your school do you either do the modular exam or the linear paper which is 2 papers and coursework or a 3rd paper instead of the coursework.
Workaholic - I dont think your sister is lying as the Mocks are only just starting
aww good luck.... you will be fine
Kitty cat meoWWWW......ill take that kiss now...
Hi, I'm In year 11, well thing is, the school some of my old primary school friends go to, they are doing some mocks and stuff, and my school isn't. Every school is different I guess, I know that the proper GCSE's are supposed to be at the same time all around school, mocks are differernt.Originally Posted by Workaholic
