Cutting people up on TV again

I'm not against it myself, It's science and potentially educational

If the subject's handled correctly it's more than worthy of being in the interest of public survey.

But who decided to pick the guy who's the closest to the 'Deranged Doctor' stereotype you could ever possibly get?*

*Yes, I'm sure he's a highly qualified and published scientist. This thread may contain traces of humour.

You couldn't post the schedule could you, please?

I enjoyed the previous series. While I knew most of the information they were presenting in a text-book sort of manner (Human Biology A-Level FTW!), I had never actually seen the human innards in such real detail.

While the chap is excellent at what he does, I think that because the programme is somewhat taboo - they were aiming to go the whole hog in an effort to shock the idiot complainers to death. That'd shut them up once and for all.

that anatomy program last year was fantastic (or was it the year before, i cant remember) I was doing a couple of anatomy modules at uni at the time and it was most interesting to see the body being disected. Closest we get was pickled body parts in jars in the anatomy museum! Cant wait for another series!

i only saw a little of it the last time it was on and thought it was great. Yes it's designed to get headlines etc. but being a bit controversial, but to be honest it is great educational TV so i see no problem with it. Juast as long as they don't make it overly sensationalist.

Elmo, you can actually do anatomy courses without touching a proper (i.e. complete) human body? Amazing!

    It's a new programme.

I meant from last time, like a year or two (maybe more) ago?.

He reminds me of the Nazi doctor / scientist at the beginning of the Return to Castle Wolfenstein Demo "Once again!! who are you verking for Mr. Englander...not talking? Vee have vays of making you talk Mr. Englander!! ".

From vague memory, the quotation may be inaccurate...

I have to say, i thought it was quite horrible what they were showing. I watched briefly but soon flicked channels. I understand the people had agreed to it all beforehand but i think turning something like that in to late night 'entertainment' overstepped the line.

Sure, it's educational...to those that need educating about those things, and in a manner like this. Channel 4 weren't interested in that side of it of course...it was all about viewing figures etc.

That's my opinion anyway, and i won't be watching it this time round.

I didn't have a problem with the last series, I watched all of them in fact. It was dignified and had a purely scientific grounding, anyone watching it simple for "late night 'entertainment'" would have been sorely disappointed as the bodies are all plastinated (?) and the filming of it certainly came secondary to the fact it was a real life educational lecture.
