nope - thats wrong. the fluid in the body of fish means that they can move up and down in the water colun without the effects of pressure we might get due to air spaces.

ah, yes well, this is written by a journalist for a news paper correct?and ost of what they have written is probably true, but exploding eyes 'from the pressure' is not true.
of course it may be implying the pressure exerted on a fish caught in a net, thus being crushed causing its eyes and stomach to 'pop out'. this is entirely possible. but to lose eyes from reaching the surface is not I'm afraid.

It has always sickend me to see man's inhumanity towards it's fellow creatures and the lack of regard man shows for other species.

It truly sorrows me that we as the human race do very little to protect the endangered species which are many and are scattered throughout this world of ours.

Mans greed and lack of foresight will eventually if not already be our own species downfall.

It's just such a shame that in our downward spiral we will take out so many other species with us and not afford them the chance to survive .

no punky they don't - if you read the posts earlier you'd have seen my explaination of why they dont. fish don't get affected the same way as we do by pressure, otherwise the sea would be full of dead fish everywhere!

because we would not necessarily associate ourselves with killing and eating flies, slugs or spiders..well - YOU might but I know an awful lot of people wouldn't.
but its not about spiders and things - this is about dolphins. dolphins are intelligent and gentle animals that probably have a much better life than a lot of people I know.
people assume they are far more intelligent when they see dolphins swimming about and splashing around all day, Dolphins think they are more intelligent than humans for exactly the same reason!! (i stole that from h2g2)

no thats not what i was getting at, I don't go around stamping on slugs because I want too, nor spiders or ants. there's no reason for it, i know lots of people do but how am I going to stop them?
no its simply a case of them destroying NOT ONLY beautiful animals BUT ALSO having nothing in place that supports the populations from which their 'meat' is taken. and thirdly i love dolphins so I can't see why they should continue this activity in today's attitudes towards wildlife etc.

Survival; of the fittest, look at all the meat eating animals out there, the stronger eat the weaker, We are more intelegent and sometimes stonger than the animals so we eat them, its the way of the world, live with it.

dolphins are meat, there weaker than us, they get eaten, agreed that so many shouldnt get killed or they will become extint which isnt a good thing.

If animals wenrnt ment to be eaten then they wouldnt taste so good...

Cheers for the compliement , look at nature mate, animals kill other animals its natural.

Evolution is based on survival of the fittest, If we didnt kill other species for food and sport then we may not have even evolved to where we are today there could be a totaly different species running the world.

shiato, earlier on, you mentioned the disruption in the food chain caused by destroying the main predator. then you say you kill spiders to 'stop them'. stop them doing what? catching and eating flies? if you kill spiders, this then upsets the food chain by making loads of flys that are not being eaten anymore. hypocrite.
