    Which online photo storage?

A friend of mine is going to India for a few months and she would like to upload her digital photos to some online storage in internet cafes as she travels around.

What online photo storage services are worth looking at? They need to be free and fairly easy to use too.

It would be also good to make some private and some for all to view.

    Cheers.

I've used it, it seems ok.

I may be wrong but photobucket.com seem's a bit more flexiable. I think there is some limits and such on flickr though.

My oldest brother uses Flickr, but only occasionally so it suits him OK. For your friends' case I think photobucket.com would be better.

Yep, I use Flikr. It's easy to use and pretty fast to upload. You can upload up to 6 pictures at a time through the web interface or download and run their uploading program for as many as you want at a time.

I bought the upgrade to the Pro user which gives up a 2Gb monthly upload limit (loads) for about a £13 yearly payment.

    Would get my recommendation.

If you're interested here is the link to my photo site. Went to Japan last year and have a ton of photos I want to upload - a few are up already - please feel free to leave comments.

I've been using Photobucket for ages and despite them dropping the "unlimited" bandwidth, I've yet to hit it. It's simple to use, organise and if you don't know the address to your account, all you need to do is find one of your photos' address and go back from there.
