lol, not bad experiences, never had a valentine - never wanted one really - i just get fed up of the 'OMFG LOOK AT EVERYONE IN LOOOVES!!!!'ness of it all.

However it has a new meaning for me these days, because I passed my driving test on Valentines Day last year which is infinitely more rewarding than some 'me to you' bear from clintons

Listen to this idea I had when I was living in Portland--turn Valentine's Day into a party day in order to obfuscate the meaning. You know, like mardi gras. I think that if everyone started with my plan, Valentine's day would be a rockin' holiday forever. Plus, think about all of the single girls that would come to your party.

I've got a blinding idea for one this year... not actually gonna do it coz it's all major cheesy.
Share the cheesy idea, can't be as bad as making a card out of sweets.

I'm taking the other half to Belgium for the weekend, we'll be travelling back on valentines day. However, we were going to go to Belgium regardless of anything, I just didn't realise the coincidence until one of her mates was talking to me one night and was green with envy because my mrs told them I was taking her away for valentines

IMO It saves me having to give in to the commercialisation and having to buy presents.

we're going to Belgium too! Again, the whole Valentines thing is just a coincidence - it's the wife's birthday the same week, so we are going to see her folks for a few days. It's a real pain actually, cos I can't do anything for her birthday without the Valentines Day hype & increased prices.

I tried getting her a combined Valentines & birthday card one year - not a good idea

I'd be happy with Fish and Chips from the Chippy ( saves me having to cook and i can't be arsed with going out ) and a bottle of Red Wine, though if he wanted to buy me a prezzy i'd appreciate something useful like him fixing my Car and MOT'ing it that would mean more to me than some cheesy teddy and card malarkey
