Unhappy I think ePinnacle have ripped me off

on the 4th on feb i went to www.epinnacle.co.uk, and bought an opteron 144. it was the cheapest one around, so i thought i would snatch one up. However, the only payment option available was postal order or cheque. I was quite foolish but i sent a postal order for the value of £117.49 and then sent the insured delivery. I then let the order carry on, i got a few emails telling me the status of my order. Processing/payment recieved. Then i searched for epinnacle on goole to find there page again and the results were shocking. i found pages upon pages of bad experiences with eppinacle. I was gutted. the order can't be cancelled, there isnt a cancel order button. What can i do!?
    Please somebody help

    There websiite says the following;

"In order to keep our costs down, we do not currently provide a telephone sales line, however we have added to our email support team to ensure prompt replies to online queries."

There have been some people who
    a) got there product, allbeit very late
    b) Got a refund after some persistent nagging
and C) didnt get a refund at all.

I'm just wondering how a company such as epinnacle is allowed to stay in business, absolutely disgracful

    It's a prepaid postal order.

It's true though, isn't there some kind of watchdog for companies like this. You'd think the number of documentated complaints you can find online would be sufficient grounds for an investigation.

If I were you I'd keep a record of every email/contact you make to the company. Date & time. Try to keep you tone reasonable and don't resort to threats just in case you have to take them to court...since it's less than £5,000 you can go to Small Claims Court which is a whole lot easier and cheaper than a full blown legal process.

If you have an address or email address I would advise a polite but firm letter stating that you will take them to the small claims court if either a) the product you have paid for does not arrive or b) a full refund to you with 14 days. (10 working days)

This type of thing usually wakes them up as it's more expensive for them to contest the claim than it is to give you your money back. Maximum costs they can charge in a small claims court is £80 plus travel expenses.

Start a file and put everything you have sent them or received in the file - start building a case.

Yeah will do that, thanks. I kept the emails quite polite. a tad forceful. Since most of the problem appeared to be with a PSP.I will give them another few days to return contact. They may just have a stock problem with PSP's. I prefer to remain positive. Otherwise i will get super angry. I dont want to lose my temper with this company after all they have a large sum of my money. Its a shame that i found this product through froogle. surely google should have realised. I have sent an email to watchdog. just hoping loads more people do too. Thanks Anyway. Ill keep you updated

What I did is ring the Police and trading standards then email epinnacle (you wil only get a response through the "accounts" contact) and tell them you have informed the Police and trading standards and want a refund, this worked for me and I emailed jefale to do the same and it worked for him. Keep at 'em and let me know how you go on

Did you keep your PO stubs? If so, the Post Office will be able to tell you if they've been cashed and if not you can cancel them and get a refund.

My mate had a prob when he ordered a PSP, seemed to be a stock issue, but they didn't keep him informed. He did get it in the end though, and they gave him a free game and movie IIRC as a good will gesture.

Well i thought there might just be a problem with the PSP orders. I know its really naive, but i think i'll give them the usually 10 Days. I havent had a single email back from them saying anything yet. I have been sending emails all day, getting an automated responce immediately.
" We are currently dealing with a lot of emails."
I have got the PO stubs. Ill check that tomorrow. I wish i'd payed by cheque now. . I contacted watchdog and had no responce, but i understand they don't respond to every complaint. Thanks for everone suggestions so far Ill Keep you updated....

Its alwase worth googling the name of the company before buying anything online. I allmost got a camera from www.digitalrev.com but there seem to be some nasty comments regarding there store, and they dont have very clear contact details. So there off the list.

    just thought i'd update everyone.
    i emailed a total of 76 times.
    Not a single reply.
Used my sisters email account for a fake product inquiry and they responded within minutes.
it came yto the 28 day deadline, and sent them one final email asking for a refund.
Filed a claim with "Her Majesty's Court Sevice" for a total of £157.
£127 for the processor £30 for court fee.
epinnacle have been 'served'. and if a refund isnt issued in 14 days then they will have to appear in court.
Roll on the 18th of March
