I use Google to search. That's about it. Having said that, I also use Wikipedia a lot.

I'm still not sure about those alexa rankings, iirc it only gets it's info from those peeps that have it's toolbar installed, which like google is highly location specific for it's use..

Hitwise would be a better measure

    Yahoo

I use Yahoo for almost everything. The finance portal is well made.

The other site that I visit the most is Wikipedia.

The first web based email account I created in 199..8? was a Yahoo one. So it became my homepage for a very long time, and the first search engine I used. I also created a hotmail account around that time, but somehow I ended up sticking with Yahoo.

If I couldn't find what I was looking for with it, I'd turn to metasearch engines (webcrawler and a few others).

I probably didn't pay much attention to Google until.. 2003? And I only started using it regularly in the past few months because of the toolbar in one of the firefox plugin I have.

I probably has something to do with the amount of content on the page. Of course google.com, with nothing more than a search form and a few links will load faster than the media heavy hexus.net
