Well done on the results guys. The comments about general studies are quite right, no sensible university will consider a course where you can skip the lessons, turn up for the exam and pass.

Once again well done everyone, i'm doing my AS's and we do it all at the end rather than modular, not sure whether that is better or worse though
general studies is a load of poo, might be enjoyable/ midly rewarding but nobody cares and in the end its almost impossilbe to find a uni who'll take it as a subject, let alone respect it. On that note is critical thinking seen in the same light or more favourably?
i got 3 A's and a B in maths further maths chemistry and physics.
th b was in phisics and suprised me as i thought id done really well in that paper, but i was very close to an a so its probably not worth retaking it, just to some work and push it up with my summer grade.
6 hours? 8 and a 1/4 according to my exam timetable. Only got 5 hours of exams for subjects that actually count, so needless to say I've dropped the General Studies exams.Originally Posted by herulach

is it me, or are there some smart people here? or do the dumb people just not post their resits but when you fail your AS's its a bit of a kick up the ass to do something.
im down to 3 subjects at as dropped maths a few weeks ago miles through the course.
I got A in f maths (is it just me, or does everyone do it?) and B in maths, chemistry and economics. I was 1 mark off of an A in both maths and chemistry.
The two maths might not matter though, as i might have to redo them anyway, seeing as how i might be changing the exam board.
All this is of professional interest to me as I'm training to be a teacher. I'm particularly interested in people's opinions of AS Critical Thinking. I've got no experience of the course itself, but as a skill I think it's immensely valuable. If it's not a core skill already it damn well should be. I try and make it an integral part of as many of my lessons as I can.
Well, congrats are in order for luke, mike_w, tobeman and the rest here (kind skimped over page 2). I didn't know that resists were a common thing for AS... I guess soon next stage is the final A's? I was one of the very very lucky souls to have experienced the older A level system and personally I really think the AS is a mess.
Anyways, good luck and well done
unreal: ace avatar. From the looks of it seems like Huuyga Neji vs. Hinata?
