Yeah it's awful. About a year ago on Crime Watch it mentioned how common this happens (but they sell the dogs rather than kill them)..
it is terrible what some people will do. on the local news the other night, someone had tortured and beaten a yorkshire terrier and then finally killed it by ramming a beer bottle down its throat, breaking its jaw and skull. it also had been stabbed, beaten, burnt and had patches of skin removed. theres a reward for the head of the person/people that did that as well. i for one would like to catch them and inflict the same treatment to them...see how they like it.

I remember seeing the pictures of that poor Yorkie on the news heartbreaking stuff, i was in tears watching that, these people who commit these crimes are pathetic weak excuses for human beings to hurt something so vulnerable
Some people are just that twisted

"If crime fighters fight crime, and fire fighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight?"
One of the women I worked with had her german sheperd go missing last year out of the back garden while they were out, it got anonomously dropped off at an animal shelter a couple of months later in a horrible state, apparently this is fairly common as they're used in illegal dog fights
Words cannot describe this type of scum!
I cant understand these cruelty to animals... if they like it that way.. I'll have my own treat for them.. When I catch one of these mindless bird brain.. I'll first have their finger nails pulled out using a plyer.. and their arms shaved to the bones.. I would then sprinkle salt on their woulds, and pour a nice jug of fire-ant collection around the wound... slice their tigh like calamari (them cross cutting), then pour hot water to let the flesh swell into a curly bunch.. I'll then break every finger he has, hammer a 3 inch rusty nail parallel into their toes.. then pour flouric acid on their genitals.. I'll even throw in the courtesy of sticking toothpicks between their eyelids and make them witness their precious modjo disintegrate into a thick goo with the 30 nolar HF..
EDIT: I'll even put them on life support to let them savour the pain for the next 20 years..
Me want Ultrabook
Is the dog ok now? did the lady get her dog back? i'd be heartbroken if anything like that happened to Max, he's a Pedigree German Shepherd and there was a lot of Pedigree dogs go missing in our area when we first had him and it worried me terribly ( still does tbh )Originally Posted by Knoxville
I saw an advert for a program on in the coming week about the growing fashion for fur. In the program information it said there would be an edited video of an alsation being skinned alive in china, just reading this made me feel ill. I can't believe people would do this kind of thing, i've been on a farm all my life, and i couldn't even think about harming one of the animalsfor fashion or fun.
2 true If you think about it, whats the most valuable item dog walkers have? Not their mobile, unless they have a Vertu, not their credit cards - they simply get barred, but their dog. My lovely golden retriever was over £500 9 Years ago - so figures of £800-1000 for a pedigree arent uncommon today. Thieves realise this (because they aren't all dum chavs) and therefore steal the dog (especially puppies) - same reason for the increases in rates of car jackings - apart from your house, the car is most likely the most valuably object you own, and with the keys (easy enough to procure) pretty darn easy to steal.Originally Posted by bertie
Moral of the story, if its worth something, someone at some point will try to nick it.

Stealing him and holding him to ransom i can sort of understand, however twisted, the desire for money drives people to do stupid things, but to take the dog and kill it!..... that i can't understand at all, what's to gain except sick pleasure
and the silly thing is, if your dog savages the people that are trying to steal him/her, its you that ends up in trouble. i think maybe branding is a good idea......not for the animals, for the theives...right on the forehead.
Yeah she got him back in the end, she became so well known in the area that the animal shelter knew it was her dog straight away and got in touch, he's fine now by all accounts, injuries healed and back to his old selfOriginally Posted by shelley bda
