They were poking fun by embellishment. Is it so tough to understand?

As a serious point thoughI do think tech sites need a more developed buisness model though that the multi page mega add-fest though. But don't ask me what that is
AMD3000+ ATIX800XL + GBNF44x mobo.. all at stock because they're good enough atm + CA A1 amp-->Mission 73S Loigtech MX1000 + 1GB ram + 1/3 TB HD array
Wintendo XP + Linux (when it works) .. just incase you were wondering
of course the inkwirer never has destracting adverts on their site...
tbh i also find the adwords pretty damn annoying. especially the new style pop up and take over a couple of inches of screen type. Suppose its a test of mousing skills to get to the real links without hitting any. And at least they 're a different colour to the actual links, unlike on some sites.
If you use firefox you can download the 'Adblock' extension and it will block all the underlined link text that you mention.
True, but i like to not block ads from sites i like, idont know if hexus are payed per word rather than per click on those (i think thats how they work), but i generally dont block hexus ads, except for that bloody stupid sky hd one.Originally Posted by explicitlyrics
However if anyone can confirm that they are a pay per click thing, then im happy to block away, as i never ever click the things ever.
i like hexus more but their charts arn't that bad...Originally Posted by kempez

just one sec, they're complaning about adds on hexus page when, because of their adds, i had to read ths article from a 1.5 inch column with a very,very anoying flashy thing on the right, lines like this ocurred at least twice on their page '); document.writeln(''); // --> and their articles are just generally annoying.
they're just jelouse that hexus is a better site
The joys of javascript...
(adblock is nothing to do with underline links)
