To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
They're annoying granted. But they don't cause me to punch my monitor's lights out like some adverts on other sites.Originally Posted by Steve A

On the subject of adverts on hexus, I dont mind the banners around the endge, but when looking at that artical, the adverts set into the text, like the M$ office one of the second page are a pain in the arse. Personaly that would put me off reading a review from hexus over another site if I didnt know how good they are
To those complaining.... Ahh get over it - it's just a bit of light-hearted fun. Where's your sense of humour? The Inquirer has always been like that. No need to start getting defensive just because they made a (non-entirely unjustified) throwaway comment about a site that you like. Where were you when they were taking the mickey out of other tech people on a daily basis?
I like The Inquirer. I like their style - tech news with a bit of a sense of humour. I also like Hexus, but I'm not going to start throwing a tantrum because The Inquirer made a cheeky little comment.
It... really... doesn't... matter.

Good grief. As too few people have realised, this was just humour!
(but if you want more publicity for hexus you could always write a self-righteous flame to Inq, they'll probably publish )
theinq poke fun at anyone and everyone
It's all good fun really and makes a change to read IT related news with a little jokin' going on as opposed to straight serious news.
