This is the final stage of a successfully completed Open Movie project which has been community-financed, using only Open Source tools, and opening up the movie itself as well as the entire studio database for everyone to re-use and learn from. All done in blender too! Considering blender is free and other animated apps such as maya/xsi/max come in in the thousands of pounds, its really great. I havent actually seen it yet, because when i tried to dl it about a month ago it wouldnt work...i shall do now though!

    Downloaded it the other day, while I'm sure it's technically very impressive given that it was created entirely with open source software, the story wasn't that brilliant which meant it didn't feel particularly compelling.

    Calling an 11 minute animated short a "Movie" is stretching things a bit too far as well..

    indeed, I liked the concept very much, a weird and wonderful place with lots going on, but I can't helps its a little star wars-esque "look what we can do and sod the story" affair. nice loking, infact perhaps amazing with what they used, but not too engaging beyond that I'm afraid

    Yeah, I guess you're right. It's indeed a great animated, but short movie...but still calling it a "movie" is kind of ridiciluous...

    the thing I liked the most was the quality of the HD version...WOW!!!

    What'll be impressive is if, when I get this thing download, my system will play it in 1080p smoothly...
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();
