Ah Zak i love you for saying that, although after failing six tests its a bit hard to believe failing your sixth test, thats bad news, but then again passing my seventh was the best news i'd had for years

    Whoa
failing 8 times doesn't sound so nice, must be hard. But it's good that you keep trying and that you are not giving up, maybe this time you're ready. I don't know why you failed all those times, and I guess it's not my business + it might be something you do not want to share. So I can only say that I hope you've practised a little extra now and that it goes awsome for you this time! I'll keep my fingers crossed

    Good Luck!

not quite true, but it is getting rarer - out of 150 in my 6th Form (this is at a grammar school) only 10-15 passed first time, if that. Ah well, I'm just going to focus on coming out with no or very few minors next time - as I know I can do it

Unfortunately I hail from (chav) boy-racer central - so the pass rate at its highest is 30%

I know it wasn't me that you were asking, but for me it was nerves and or lack of confidence, i could drive well, but put me with an examiner nerves often got the better of me, so i would end up making stupid mistakes. It wasn't the failing that bothered me it was the huge amounts of money that i spent trying to pass the damn test

Anyway good luck for your next test chemical_ali, its the best feeling in the world when you do pass.

Well, different test centres have different pass rates, which will depend mainly on the individual testers working there, and the one I passed at (Heckmondwike) is consistently one of the hardest in the country.

If I had known that then...

There's lots of factors which determine the pass rates, it doesn't necessarily mean one test centre is harder than others, and you can't compare a test centre in the middle of London to a test centre in a small town, my test centre has a 56% pass rate, but it's in a rural area so that's a factor in determining it's pass rate, i'm happy that's it average

Maybe this info from the DSA will explain about pass rates and different centres better DSA Statistics

Just have a double southern comfort and lemonade before you go out. That'll help calm your nerves. *
