Iv'e finally overcome my fear of Spiders!!!!!

We had the Exotic Animal Man come to work today and he made me hold Charlotte



She was lovely! felt gorgeous, did tell him i was really scared of them, but was feeling soooo brave! as soon as he placed her in my hand i felt all my nerves disappear, only trouble was i didn't want to let her go back in her box, just wanted to hold her....... absolutely awesome!

Also got to cuddle some Iguana's and a great big fat black one he said was related to the Komodo Dragon called Archie who was gorgeous, he kept on giving me kisses and was trying to snuggle up in my hair, i love Lizards always wanted one! you don't think of them being very cuddly and loving but they are, they love being held and cuddled, then the snakes! i adore snakes! i had 2 Corn snakes wrapped around me called Amber and Arnie
( breeding pair ) Amber liked my hair she tangled herself up in it then i cuddled a 4ft big black one, can't remember what breed he was, called Mo, had to rescue him as he was heading towards the Office ( my colleague took pics of me with them, i'll post them if i can get them )

He also brought, Locusts, Cockroaches ( we lost one in the building! look good when Ofsted come around ) a Chinchilla, a few Frogs including this hooooge big fat thing, that squirts water out of his bum, ugh he was horrible, Millipedes and African Land Snails

My faves were definately the Iguanas lizards and Snakes!

Thanx Guys of course it helped having the Children in the room too, because i couldn't show them my scared feelings, and i was very aware of not dropping her, they are actually quite delicate things, just so happy that after all these years the fear has gone!

I'd quite happily scream like a girl while holding one of those things in the presence of small kids and I'm a grown man!

Awww bless ya you never know, one day you might feel different, i used to start shaking and crying at the sight of a house spider let alone one of those big ones

I don't mean to offend anyone, but I can't help but think most of us are socially conditioned into arachnophobia.

Heck, I have problems with big spiders too! Although, I honestly can't remember how it started.

lol, thankyou. I don't know though, I mean I even jumped at the sound of the noise you make when you walk over bodies on the F.E.A.R. demo, and I was with a mate, in broad daylight with a very graphically challenged computer!!

I have no problems with spiders, but am terrified of crabs (but not lobsters unusually...)

I wonder if there's a crab man who would come round to my work?

This is the Guys site Corner Exotics though the shop isn't open to the public anymore, he does all his dealing over the phone, it's a shame because we could never visit Shrewsbury without popping in, it was just like going to the Zoo.

And for you cute animal lovers, hows about this, i forgot Simon bought this little Pygmy Hedgehog along until i saw his pic, absolutely adorable he was
