    Recomended Reading

If there's ONE book you think everybody should read, what would it be?

For me it's 'Get in the Van' by Henry Rollins, just edging out Spike Milligan's war memoirs. It's a disturbing recount of life on the road with the legendary US punk outfit Black Flag in the early 80's. Taken from Rollins' own journal he drags you through his own psychotic psyche by the scruff of the neck. Pure genius.

The Biggest Secret - David Icke *awaits the taunts*

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime by Mark Haddon about a guy with Asperger's syndrome - brilliant.

Fifteen-year-old Christopher has a photographic memory. He understands maths. He understands science. What he can't understand are other human beings.

When he finds his neighbour's dog, Wellington, lying dead on a neighbour's lawn, he decides to track down the killer and write a murder mystery novel about it. In doing so, however, he uncovers other mysteries that threaten to bring his whole world crashing down around him.

    Possibly To Kill A Mockingbird.

Or, if you prefer something more light hearted, anything by Tony Hawks.

Great book and a quick read.

One book, you’ve got to be kidding!

I’d recommend A Short History of Nearly Everything, Bill Bryson covers so much and it’s almost all interesting, which is no mean feat. I’ve heard some say it is not in depth enough, but people like this are often just trying to look clever. Personally learnt a lot from this book.

Also, Schindler’s List, this book made me cry when I finished it, and The Lord of the Rings, the films are great but the books add so much more ... sorry.

    What's a "book"?

I always tend to find educational ones about your hobbies the best (books on music production ftw, although I haven't read much of them )

A Short History of Nearly Everything - i will agree with Anders there , i don't see why it should be in more depth though, the title sort of says that it isn't

    or..

His Dark Materials - bloody fantastic. nothing else to say.
