OT I know, but I'm from Rugby and we have relatively few of these offences. On the other hand, we have loads of scallies on mini-motos, teenage drunks and graffitti "artists". Perhaps the rozzers should sort them out instead.

They did this because.. they havea target

Might be available on the BBC site, some of the stuff they got up to and attitudes are pretty shocking.
It was Dispatches on Channel 4. Playing hide and sneak in patrol cars
The BBC did do one of those "fly-on-the-wall-documentary-series" on traffic wardens a few years ago, and they showed a lot of tickets being contested and winning due to silly little things like the date issued being in the wrong place and stuff, so having a wrong make and colour should be pretty easy to contest.

Gerrard, thanks for that it was Dispatches.

The hide and seek stuff was bad, but the worst was the officer who ignored the call for a woman being assaulted in an alley because it would mean arriving home late.

^ No, if you overstay then it's upto the council to enforce it correctly. it could have been 2 minutes or 2 hours, everyone knows how officious wardens are after all they are there to maximise revenue for the council.
THe council is indirect. WArdens have a qouta they must meet if they want to be able to pay there rent. I would love more in my area. Thieves stealing disabled place. ANd people parking on corners obstructing view of children in the area.
