    Theory Test

Got a theory test coming up, and just to my luck as with my recent spell of bad luck my theory test cd has decided it will stop working about a week before my test.
Reluctant to reinstall xp or backtrack to just fix the damn thing ive decided to use this website : www.2pass.co.uk and ahve been taking mock theories and getting 34 out of 35 almost every time.

I assume this means im ready the only thing i have difficulty with is stopping distances (i have no idea), and the hazard perception - im hopeless and dont do very well on my practice cd. I guess ill just have to practice some more, but can anyone advise if the above site is any good? I seem to notice a lot of the q's are repeated just randomised in their order. Im wondering if my "success" is not down to knowledge but more down to the ability of remembering answers

    Awww good luck for Monday!

If I remember rightly they only ask you the stopping distances for 70mph, 50 and 40 I was terrible with my stopping distances, worried like mad over them... then didn't get any questions on stopping distance in my test anyway

As for the HP, think of it like a game, you click on the hazard when you see it, then click again as the hazard develops, it will take the highest score that you got for the clip, you can be scored from 1 to 5 then theres the double hazard clip be aware of clicking too early, and don't click too many times because the system will think your cheating.

Let us know how it goes

with the questions, it is just a case of remembering/common sense.
i think all the possible questions are available on many of the cd's. not sure but think they use the same video clips for the HP too.

i failed my first time for clicking too often, so make sure you onl click on hazards and not just any event that could be a hazard.

I think they do use some of the clips off the practise disks, i'm sure I recognised some from my first theory test ( failed my first too, got 43 when the pass mark is 44, and 35 for the questions ) thought i'd failed it a 2nd time because the PC I was using was so stuttering on a couple of clips, managed to get 35/35 and 53/75, didn't think i'd got 35 for e questions either as I had a dodgy question pop up that i'd never seen before took a guess and luckily it was right

Got to put in for my Practical again soon, I failed the first one for speeding well what they classed as speeding, I was driving down a clear road, doing 35 when it was a 30 limit, no signs to tell you what the speed limit is *not from the junction I pulled out from anyway*

    I've got mine soon too.

I'm worried about Hazard Perception. I got a DVD from the DSA, and it says that you have to click when a hazard is developing, and after you think it is safe again. I haven't been doing this with the test CD's, because that's not what it teaches you to do.

    >_<

They just hand you the letter with your results and your certificate if you pass..... I couldn't tell on my 2nd test, I walked out of the test room and the Man was standing empty handed, then asked me how I thought I did, I said "I think I failed the HP again" he pointed to the letter and certificate on his desk and said "You don't want that then" I saw the pass certficate and burst into tears, what a numpty

I don't think I stopped crying and shaking until we got home

Determined to keep my emotions in check when I pass my practical
