    I'm with Nationwide.

When I spoke to a person in the contact center they were very helpful but in the branch itself they wern't to bothered at all. As for the identity theft nothing is being done about it. Makes you wonder what else they may have or are trying to get in my name.

Annoying thng for me now is that I use the internet banking to watch over my account, however I cannot check what DD's are setup on my account online so I have to go down to the branch.

Don't get me wrong, I am pleased that they refunded the charges. However though, I don't think it should have been a standard letter that was sent out to me given the situation.

Natwest or Barclays - As I have accounts with both and they both seem pretty good to me.

This is massive right now, its been all over the press and papers for a while and the banks are crapping it.

Get this - according the the Gardian 100% of people that have taken it as far as court have won (either in court, but most often out of court settlements).

    100%!!!

Power to the people i say. Some people have reclaimed THUSANDS from thier student days. I myself was paying £90 a month every month for 3 years. Thats about £3,000 - even if i just got half back would be nice, but thats not inclding the many charges i have paid in the 5 years since leaving uni.

I am going to do it soon, and i recommend everyone reads this... http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi...41050760,24632 - it's brilliant and tells you what to do step by step, including letter templates.

you can legally claim 8% APR on each charge for the full period, so the longer it takes them the more money you will have back.

I've heard that a lot of people have Problems with NatWest, what you wan't to be suing for... Apart for the money, of course... Is the right to the MD of NatWest's pants... Nothing says 'You've gone tits up' like stealing someones pants...

You can only sue them for the last 6 years worth I think ... Not for eternity going back to the stone age.

Lloyds are about to cave in, they just don't know it yet Waiting on their 'final letter' then its a court action. Looking forward to it, you get to charge 8% interest as well if it goes to court.

    It's all in here bud:

    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...se-read-these/

They even have template letters to use in writing to the bank AND an Excel calculator for charges and charging THEM interest...

Just follow it to the absolute letter, do not deviate from it one iota.
