It's the old nature versus nurture argument. But it isn't nature versus nurture it's nature AND nurture, we all have genetics that predetermine what we are more likely to be influenced by but we are not dictated by our genes, how strong each characteristic presents itself and how easily it is overcome is unique to every combination of genes and individual circumstances and the interactions between everything is all far too complicated for even the best scientists to understand. But I agree I've known of nice parents where just one of the children turns out horrible and conversely I've known of someone really nice and an amazing person whose parents were awful and actually starved him.
I have to say video games influenced my life.
I'm constantly jumping on turtles and throwing their shells at any workman holding a hammer in range. Jumping down pipes is a regular occurance as is easting mushrooms.
Damn games. Could be worse. I could believe boobs move like they do in DOA extreme volleyball. My missus would kill me.
