Kids say the funniest things........
It not things like "Daddy, where do babies come from".......
No....this morning at 7.30am, my beloved 5 year old, being very proud of his daddy, and his genius ability with computers told me.....
"Daddy....you know that invention you made last night?"
erm....."no what was that"
"Daddy....that thing that turns things on and off"
still very early and confused....i am still none the wiser.....
"Daddy.....I pressed the switch, and now your computer turned off, and it won't start"
Now I remember that the night before, having spent close to £600 upgrading to a Conroe system, and whilst constantly having to clear the CMOS due to going too high on the overclock, I decided to go into my spares box, find a 3 pin header with wires attached, and I bought an 81p switch from Maplin so I could reset the bios without lying on the floor with a torch in my mouth and fiddling about with a tiny jumper.........
So I go to the pub......have a few pints.......take my 5 year old to bed, and fall asleep with it still proudly lying on the floor outside my case.....
So like any 5 year old he likes to copy his Daddy.....
I will spare you the pictures of me covered in bubble bath desperately trying to make sure my PC was OK.....but it all ended happily!
And also the best silly little PC bit you will ever own if you are an overclocker!....but from now on, hidden away!
