If you liked MI:3 then Bond should blow you away.

Casino Royale does lead into the next film in a small way which should help to tie everything together and give you a bigger and better story.

I like how they've stuck the books, not for the value of being true to the author, but just because the books were so much darker that the recent films - something I feel the genre really needed.

Theres 2 main girls and both are cute. The treasury girl is surely the one for everyman. Smart, sexy, broadchested (watch the film for the last one).

I've always felt that the James Bond films should be darker and a lot more brutal. The Bond character, or any double 0, is supposed to be a 'do anything' kind of character, and that doesn't mean knocking out guards, it means wet work...I doubt it'll be dark enough for my tastes, but really looking forward to it anyway.

Saw MI:3 last night....fun enough, although bugged me they couldn't be bothered to think up a decent armageddon scenario...

Going to see it early next week. I was one of the many doubters when I heard Daniel Craig had got the role (nothing against him, he's a fine actor I just didn't see him as Bond) but after I saw him in Munich I changed my mind and it sounds like it's shaping-up to be a crackingly good film..

I saw it yesterday and at first when a little puzlled at the storyline till I figured out it was set before all the others. What isn't consistent is the use of the gadgets/equipment etc though as the technology is way advanced than that in the other bond films such as a SE M600 with 3D tracking system....

Yup, was very very good. Didn't like how the first one ended up though

I think Daniel Craig has the Bond character down to a T, hes got the sophistication whilst being the dark side of bond, something that really came across in the first part of the film.

Who has a defibrillator in their glove box though? Oh and How much did Sony Pay? Product placement & the like...

This is how Bond should be, the public seems to have got used to the Pinewood Studios diluted comic alcoholic womaniser. Bond was portrayed far more brutaly in Flemmings books. Don't get me wrong I am a Bond film fanatic, I own every one on DVD. In Die another Day the 10 minute capture / torture intro was the best thing that has ever gone into a Bond film because it showed Bond both at his strongest and at his most vulnerable. Without being ridiculously toungue in cheek, He was actually the MI6 OO agent that Flemming envisioned for 10 minutes!

Awesome film....simply awesome. minor gripe with product placement but other than that it's a quality film, & more than a match for anything in the genre for a LONG time.
